आयोग ने कहा है कि चुनाव तारीख से पहले के 48 घंटों के दौरान राजनीतिक दल अपना घोषणा-पत्र जारी नहीं कर सकते हैं. दरअसल, 2014 में हुए पिछले लोकसभा चुनावों में कुछ राजनीतिक दलों ने मतदान के दिन ही अपना घोषणा पत्र जारी किया था. इस मामले में चुनाव आयोग का मानना है कि ऐसे समय में घोषणा पत्र मतदाताओं को प्रभावित करने के लिए जारी किया जा सकता है. इस बार चुनाव आयोग यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहता है कि इस बार ऐसा कोई विवाद न हो.
